Major League Fishing Tour on Table Rock, provides fun for fishing fans

Ridgedale, Mo. -- A big event is underway on Table Rock Lake. Some of the biggest names in professional fishing have stopped in the Ozarks on the Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour.

The fun isn't only for the fishermen, but also fishing fans and their families.

The "fan experience" set up at the Midway at Bass Pro Shooting Academy off Highway 86 in Taney County includes live coverage of fishing action on jumbo screens. Fans can watch live action from the boats as former professional fishermen Marty Stone and JT Kenney broadcast on-site with live commentary.

"In the old tournament formats, JT and myself would go out and fish and we'd fish all day. We'd have no clue how our fellow competitors have done, nor did the fans. Now, the anglers and the fans instantaneously, within 45 seconds, they know the score at all times," Stone said.

At Long Creek Marina, people can also take demo rides of Tracker fishing boats.

At the Midway, fans can also take free demo rides of Tracker ATVs. There's an off-road course complete with lots of bumps and rough terrain. There's even a fishing pond set up for the kids.
