Mountain View, Mo. police, seven other agencies searching for endangered teenager

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Mo. -- Mountain View, Mo. police now consider a runaway teenager, missing for six days, endangered. Eight different agencies are now involved in finding Destiney Layman.

According to MVPD, Layman, 15, was last seen leaving school last Friday. She does not have important medication.

Interviews with witnesses and security camera footage show Layman intentionally got on a different school bus Oct. 11 at Mountain View-Birch Tree High School and then got off the bus at a home on County Road 2939 near Highway WW. She then walked away from that home. Investigators do not suspect foul play at this time.

Police say they have interviewed 17 people and received dozens of tips of possible sightings in southern Missouri and Arkansas.

Layman was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt, and a blue and black Hooey hat.
