Nationwide systems outage causes problems issuing drivers licenses

(Gray News) - The American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators experienced a nationwide systems outage that caused problems with issuing drivers licenses in many states, including Tennessee, Kansas and Illinois.

The issue was not resolved until around 2 p.m., according to NPR.

The issue was believed to be resolved in the late morning, but the AAMVA said the system restoration was “momentary” and the outage has resumed, according to WTVF.
