New development to include hotel, fueling station, Macadoodles

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. A vacant lot at a busy intersection is at the center of some big plans.

Developer Tim O'Reilly is pushing forward with a project transforming this land at I-44 and Glenstone. There will be a Shell gas station, Tesla electric car charge station, Macadoodles spirits and convenience store, and a Holiday Inn Express hotel. There will also be a Tropical Smoothies Cafe- and space for a yet-unnamed chain restaurant.

O'Reilly says work is underway right now on the Macadoodles and fueling station. Work on the Holiday Inn is set to begin sometime in the next six months or so.
