PICTURES: 'Birthplace of Route 66 Festival' kicks off in downtown Springfield

Springfield celebrated its Route 66 roots with the annual kickoff of the 'Birthplace of Route 66 Festival' in downtown Springfield Friday night. The free event features live music, vendors and hundreds of classic cars. The festival runs through Saturday night in downtown.
