Pilot crashes World War replica bi-plane at Bolivar, Mo. airport

BOLIVAR, Mo. -- A pilot crashed his World War 1 replica bi-plane in Bolivar, Mo. Sunday.

The St. Charles, Mo. area is okay. He told authorities the tail of the plane slid as he tried to land at the Bolivar Municipal Airport runaway. That caused him to veer off the runway. The plane flipped.

The pilot escaped without any injuries.
