SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Police arrested a second suspect during a standoff Thursday for a shooting at a Springfield home in April 28.
Officers first responded to a home in the 700 block of West Louis after receiving a call about a man shot multiple times at the home. The victim suffered serious injuries. He remains hospitalized after several surgeries.
Officers arrested Cortell Scott, 30, of Springfield, after a standoff Thursday. The Greene County Prosecutor's Office charged him with first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.
Officers already arrested Deandre Walls for the shooting. He faces similar charges. A judge ordered him held without bond in the Greene County Jail.
