Police arrest woman in connection to death investigation of child in Buffalo, Mo.

BUFFALO, Mo. -- Authorities in Springfield arrested a woman in connection to the death of a child in Buffalo, Mo. Police say they are also interviewing other persons of interest in the case.

Officers with the Springfield Police Department and the Greene County Sheriff's Office assisted in the arrest of Sierra N. Barrett, 25, of Springfield, Mo. Police say charges for child abuse and endangering the welfare of a child are pending.

The coroner called the death of Kinzlea Kilgore, 2, suspicious. Emergency crews responded to a home in the 600 block of East Main Street. She died Sunday morning. The coroner tells KY3 News an autopsy in the girl's death is complete.
