DALLAS COUNTY, Mo. -- A pre-trial hearing is pushed back two months for an accused killer in Dallas County.
Billy Medley is one of two charged in the murders of Joe and Brandy Allen. Deputies found the Allens shot in the front yard of their home near Tunas.
Investigators say the couple went outside to confront people stealing their cars. Medley's court appearance was rescheduled because the county has a new prosecutor. Jonathan Parker says he is ready to take on the case.
"Cases that are important to the community get a lot more attention," said Parker. "But, I look at every case I think every victim is important. I think every case is important."
Medley is scheduled to be back in court in March. Prosecutors also charged Jeffrey Stevenson with murder in the deaths of the Allens. He is expected in court early next month.
