Route 66 Festival in downtown Springfield is coming up

The 'Birthplace of Route 66 Festival' in downtown Springfield is coming up.

The event is again two days, beginning Friday August 10. It will feature classic cars, food and merchandise vendors from around the Midwest and plenty of live music.

Here's a schedule for this year's festival.
