Several boats damaged after fire at Village Marina on Lake of the Ozarks

Several boats are destroyed or damaged after a fire broke out on Dock F at Village Marina on the Lake of the Ozarks early Wednesday evening.

Troopers with the Missouri State Water Patrol, as well as firefighters with several lake area fire protection districts were called to the Jobson Hollow Cove just after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Fire was contained within an hour, but two boats were destroyed, another was heavily damaged, and at least two others have minor damage. There is also damage to the dock.

Crews say there could more than $1 million in boat and dock damage combined.

Troopers say no one was hurt, firefighters do not believe anyone was on the dock or on any of the boats when the fire started.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
