Springfield theater closes unexpectedly

An unwelcome surprise for moviegoers in Springfield on Labor Day.
The Springfield 11 theater is closed until Wednesday. The closure wasn't announced at all.
Dozens of people found out by walking up to the theater's doors to find a " closed temporarily" sign. An employee in the theater told some unhappy customers waiting outside that the theater was experiencing technical difficulties. Springfield 11's manager tells KY3 it will re-open on Wednesday.
People can get refunds online or on Wednesday when the theater re-opens. There is still no explanation as to why the theater shut down temporarily.
