Springfield Police Department investigates drive-by shooting, one wounded

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. The Springfield Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting in the 600 block of S. Glenn, Thursday afternoon.

Police say the victim was standing in his front yard around 2:15 p.m. when he heard two shots. That's when he looked down and saw he had been shot in the leg. The injuries are non-life threatening.

The victim says a dark-colored SUV sped away from the area, and he could not identify who was in the vehicle.

The Springfield Police Department does not believe there is any threat to the public at this time.
