Springfield boy receives gift of a lifetime in hospital from firefighter heroes

The brotherhood of firefighters is a strong one.

Springfield's Mason Guccione is hospitalized in Kansas City with an illness. His dad is a firefighter with the Springfield Fire Department. His firefighter friends at the Kansas City Fire Department wanted to make sure Mason had a moment to remember.

The firefighters greeted Mason at his window with a ladder truck. They then made Mason an honorary firefighter with his own personalized shield and helmet. He even got to talk to the chief on the radio.
