Stone county woman sentenced to five years behind bars for death of her son

STONE COUNTY, Mo. - A Stone County woman found guilty of manslaughter and child neglect in the death of her young son was sentenced to five years behind bars, Friday afternoon.

Bambi Jackson was convicted on the two counts in June. She will now have to turn herself in by Monday.

The child, Justus Jackson, only weighed 10 pounds when he died. His official cause of death was low blood pressure and dehydration.

His father, Joshua was also charged for his death, but entered an Alford Plea spent and was sentenced to 120 days in jail.
