STORM MODE: Storm Prediction Center issues Tornado Watch for much of the Ozarks

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Storm Prediction Center issued a Tornado Watch for much of the Ozarks Tuesday.

The watch lasts until 7 p.m. It includes Barry, Christian, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Webster and Wright Counties.

The KY3 Storm Team is tracking another round of storms approaching the Ozarks. A strong cold front will pushing through the region during the afternoon firing off the storms. The wind shear will be quite impressive, leading to the potential of high winds and a few tornadoes. Heavy rain will also occur, though amounts won’t be nearly what fell in many places Monday.
