Strong winds knock down power poles, trees in Springfield, Mo.

Power lines down at the intersection of Pythian and Fairfax in Springfield, Mo.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo-- Winds of up to 70 miles per hour knocked down trees, power poles and lines across Springfield and Greene County Thursday morning.

City Utilities reports a couple of thousand outages. We're also getting reports of low power lines over some roads across the city.

Debris is also scattered on roads.
