There was some big excitement in Ava, Mo. Saturday night. The movies are back in town.

However, the Ava Family Theater, turned Avalon Theater, is now Ava TrueView Family Theater.

“The new thing about our theater, is we are a nonprofit organization," said TruView Executive Director, Tom Martincic. "All the proceeds will be poured right back out into the community."

Being a nonprofit, all proceeds are going back into the community as an outreach for local families.

“I think it’s really important when you see something somebody is doing that is noble and making a positive impact, to do whatever you can to get behind and support that," explained Gabriel DeLapp, TrueView attendee.

Martincic, says Ava TrueView Family Theater will show wholesome, inspirational, and mostly faith based films. Older movies will be free to the public, while newer movies and releases will have a cover charge.

“We’re hoping to bring some titles that will inspire, provide hope," said Martincic. "Give people a reason to continue on."

The theater is also going to be used as a multi purpose facility, for live music and business meetings.
