YELLVILLE, Ark. -- Strong storms damaged homes, trees in the Yellville, Ark. area.
A strong line of storms rolled through around 4:30 a.m. Emergency crews say much of the damage is around 11 miles south of Yellville.
Crews rescued a man after he was trapped for about 45 minutes. The storm destroyed his home. The man appears to be okay from the damage. He says his oxygen tank alarm woke him up and likely saved his life. He will now stay with family.
The state and county departments had to clear the debris away from his home so he and his wife can get out.
