SURVIVE THE STORM: When the sirens sound, grab these essential items

When you hear the tornado sirens, or get an alert on your KY3 Storm Team App, you will want to get to your basement or storm shelter as quickly as possible, along with your family, friends, and pets.

However, if you have time, there are a few essential items you should grab.

- Flashlight

- Weather Radio

- Phone and/or Tablet

- Chargers

- Wallet/Purse

- Medication

- Food and water

- Sturdy Shoes/Jacket

Again, only grab what you have time to gather before the tornado is expected to reach your home. The most important thing is getting to your safe place before the storm hits your location.
