The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is challenging you to
in October.
You can join the event by getting a neighbor, church group or co-workers to form a team. A team can be as small as two people.
Your group then gets outside to enjoy the sunshine and the fall flowers. The team averaging the most miles per person will win a traveling trophy and braggin' rights.
"Walking is an excellent way to increase physical activity. People who are physically active tend to live longer lives," noted Julie Viele with the health department.
Last year, people vowing to make small health changes logged 172-thousand miles during October.
The Move Your Shoes registration is open right now through next Thursday, September 26th. We hope you sign up and Good Luck.
