Zoo visitors may see cheetah cubs

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Cheetah cubs Maggie, Glenn and Wally, and their mother, Roni, now have access to the exhibit yard at Dickerson Park Zoo. The cubs, born May 2, were out of public view until July in order to give them necessary bonding time with their mother.

Along with access to the exhibit yard, which is visible from the cheetah observation deck, the cubs still have access to their backyard and den. If the cubs choose to be shy, they may remain in their more familiar backyard, which is out of view. They have been exploring their new space, however.

Dickerson Park Zoo is open daily from 9 to 5, and guests may stay in the park one hour after the admission gate closes. General admission is $12 for ages 13 and up; $8 for ages 3-12 and seniors 60+. Kids 2 and under are free.

Cheetah triplets were born in Springfield on May 2, 2017.
