MELBOURNE, Ark. - The Izard County Sheriff's Department released two people who were arrested for the death of a man at a home in Dolph on Tuesday morning. Sheriff Earnie Blackley says investigators are awaiting results of an autopsy by the State Medical Examiner's Office in Little Rock.
The death of Ricky Brown was at a home on Wayland Arbor Road in Dolph. The sheriff's department got a call about it at 8:26 a.m. Tuesday. The first deputies on the scene said it looked as if Brown died from an injury "inflicted by a knife," the sheriff said in a news release. The autopsy will try to confirm that.
Blackley says he "is very confident that this incident was not a random act and there is not a continuing threat to the community."
