Hit-and-run driver injures child in Lebanon

On Friday, June 3, around 6:30 p.m., a 4-year-old child was struck by a vehicle on Beck Lane near Glenridge Street. The child was treated at a hospital in Springfield and released with minor injuries.
The occupants of the vehicle got out and checked on the child before leaving the scene prior to Lebanon Police being called. The driver is described by witnesses as possibly a Hispanic woman with dark hair who is approximately 5-foot-3 and 180 pounds. The passenger of the vehicle was described as a white man with blonde hair who is approximately 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds
One witness described the vehicle as a four-door older '90s model maroon sedan. Another witness stated the vehicle could possibly be an older Saturn or Pontiac.
As of Monday morning, Lebanon officers have been unable to locate the vehicle or the people in it. Anyone with information about them can call the Lebanon Police Department at (417) 532-3131.
