Company buys Osage Beach, Mo., outlet mall

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. (KY3) - The city of Osage Beach, Mo., announced the purchase of the Osage Beach Outlet Marketplace.

Commercial real estate group Sky Real Estate acquired the outlet mall from a subsidiary of Simon Property Group on Thursday. The Osage Beach Outlet Marketplace, which is located on 60 acres along Osage Beach Parkway, contains 391,000 square feet of retail space.

City leaders say they are encouraged by Sky Real Estate’s commitment to improving the property and look forward to its revitalization for residents and visitors. Over the past few months, the city and Sky Real Estate worked together to formulate an action plan for the mall that prioritizes life safety issues. The city’s code violation case against Simon is now resolved and no further action is expected.
