3 shot and killed outside driver licensing office in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE/Gray News) – Three people were killed outside a driver licensing office in Louisville, according to police.
Louisville Metro police are on the scene of a Kentucky Driver Licensing Regional Office, located in the 6200 block of Willismore Drive. According to police, the shooting happened outside of the office at about 12 p.m. Friday, out
One man died at the scene. Two women were taken to the University of Louisville Hospital, where they later died.
“It’s absolutely a tragedy,” Louisville Metro Police Officer Donald Boeckman said.
Boeckman reported that there was no threat to the public.
No arrests have been made at this time. Police are searching for the suspects, whom witnesses reported fled the scene.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s website, the driver licensing office is currently closed.
