Netflix documentary highlights South Central Correctional Center inmates in Licking, Mo., quilting

LICKING, Mo. (KY3) - A new Netflix documentary highlights the quilting skills of prisoners at the South Central Correctional Center in Licking.
“The Quilters” premieres Friday night. It shares the daily lives of inmates involved in a quilting circle inside the prison. They work together to make quilts for foster children in the surrounding counties. The filmmaker hopes viewers take away something special from the documentary.
The film won several awards at film festivals in 2024 and 2025. Again, it airs on Netflx on May 16.
