Teenager sentenced in deadly shooting of another teen in Carroll County, Ark.

CARROLL COUNTY, Ark. (KY3) -A 19-year-old has been sentenced in the deadly shooting of another teen in Carroll County, Ark.

Court documents state Thomas Blewett, 19, was sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of negligent homicide and two counts of tampering with evidence.

Investigators said Blewett, from Oak Grove, Ark., was originally charged with first-degree murder in the July 2025 shooting death of 19-year-old Alexzander Drake Bernhardt.

Arkansas State Police said Bernhardt was shot in the head in a car, and then his body was left on a back road near Oak Grove on July 9, 2025.
