BALTIMORE (WJZ) - A Baltimore community is rallying for peace after a 12-year-old girl was killed when police say shots were fired during a fight over a parking spot near a youth football game.

Hundreds of people walked through the West Baltimore streets on Monday to remember 12-year-old Khloe Ishway, support her family and demand an end to the violence that took her life.

“Just remember her as a person, a loving person, a good family member, good sister, good cousin, good friend. Just want everyone to remember her,” said Khloe’s mother, Kristin Reese.

Baltimore Police say two men apparently got into an argument over a parking spot Saturday at Leon Day Park, which was packed for a youth football game. Shots were fired, and Khloe was caught in the crossfire. She was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Four other people – a 23-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman, a 28-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman – were injured.

At Monday’s rally, Reese had a strong message to anyone who knows who shot her daughter. No arrests had been made at the time.

“You don’t say nothing, then you must be a part of it, and being a part of it, you’re a clown,” she said.

The tragedy has left the youth football community shattered, asking how children can be kept safe while simply doing what they love. They hope Khloe’s name lives on and inspires positive change.

“May it live on. May some laws get changed. May security be at some football games, so these kids who aren’t in the streets, who don’t have guns, can play safe,” family friend Kevin Miller said.

On Tuesday, police announced the arrest of 23-year-old Tyree Reynolds in connection to Khloe’s death. He is facing charges including murder, attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and other offenses.
