SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -The first Ride for Hope took place Wednesday evening, raising support for the Fairbanks Community Bike Shop.

The Drew Lewis Foundation and SBC’s Community Bike Shop hosted the Ride for Hope, a cyclist poker run. Riders started at Mother’s Brewing Company and rode through Springfield, stopping along the route to collect playing cards.

“I’d say that we’ve covered, you know, maybe five miles. But all for a good cause, it was a lot of fun,” says Bob Musick, the winner of the poker run.

Every mile supports the Fairbanks Community Bike Shop’s new Commercial Street storefront and its work providing reliable transportation, bike repairs, and education.
