3-year-old girl airlifted after being rolled over by SUV in Barry County

BARRY COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) -A child was airlifted to the hospital after an accident involving an SUV in Barry County Friday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident happened on private property on Route Y, just north of Cassville, at around 5:20 p.m.

Troopers said a GMC SUV and a Ford SUV were parked on private property. The GMC was inadvertently shifted into gear and rolled backwards over the child and hit the Ford SUV.

The child, a three-year-old girl from Cassville, was airlifted to a Springfield hospital with serious injuries.
