SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Missouri State all-American and Warsaw High School graduate Jeremy Eierman finally heard his name called in the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft.
The Oakland A's selected the shortstop with the 70th selection overall in the second-round Monday night..
Eierman hit .287 with 10 home runs and 49 RBI's in his 2018 junior season.
He earned several selections to all-America teams as a sophomore. The Warsaw native last year batted .313 with 23 home runs and 68 RBIs, leading the Bears to the NCAA Super Regionals
Perfect Game USA rated him as the No. 3 shortstop out of high school in the country in 2015. He played for Team USA in 2017.
