FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Quiet & mild Monday to kick off the week
Rain looking likely for Halloween Weekend
After clouds dominated your Monday morning, sunshine is breaking through this afternoon across the Ozarks, giving you a brief respite before an upper-level wave near Denver changes things up again.

High temperatures will climb into the middle to upper 70s today as an upper-level ridge keeps conditions quiet and stable. It’s a pleasant afternoon to get outside — make the most of it.

Clouds Return Tuesday, Mostly Dry
Tonight, clouds will gradually increase as the upper-level wave approaches. Tuesday will turn mostly cloudy, but the Ozarks should stay mainly dry. While a stray shower or sprinkle can’t be ruled out, rain chances will remain low as the better moisture stays focused on eastern Kansas and northwestern Missouri.

Expect a chilly Tuesday morning with lows in the lower to middle 50s, followed by a mild afternoon with highs in the lower to middle 70s.

Mid-Week Improvement
Wednesday looks like your next best day. After a stray sprinkle or shower possible early Wednesday morning, skies will clear to partly or mostly sunny conditions. Highs will push into the upper 70s to lower 80s.
Thursday brings another slight chance for a few showers or rumbles of thunder from a weak impulse, but most of the day should stay dry under partly sunny skies. Highs will remain in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Rain Returns for Halloween Weekend
The pattern changes Friday into the weekend. After mostly cloudy skies Friday, a stronger weather system will move in, bringing rain chances back to the Ozarks just in time for Halloween.

Scattered showers are possible late Friday night, with periods of rain expected through Halloween. Halloween night looks chilly with temperatures only in the lower to middle 60s and rain chances still possible. A few isolated showers may linger into Sunday before conditions improve, with highs near 70°.

Through the entire period, overnight lows will stay in the 50s.
