Ozark County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri Highway Patrol investigate death near Gainesville, Mo.

GAINESVILLE, Mo. (KY3) - The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol are investigating the death of a person northeast of Gainesville.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to Missouri 181 for a person found along the road just before 5:30 Monday morning.

The Highway Patrol’s Major Crash Scene Unit is at the scene. Investigators say this could be a possible hit-and-run.
